Second General Club Meeting Minutes 7-9 pm, 1/29/2004, Cobb Hall We held our second general meeting of this quarter at 8pm in Cobb. We have decided that we will have a weekly movie night starting next week. Now as for time we thought of having it either Fridays 7PM-9PM or Sundays 7PM-9PM. Please email me by midnight on Saturday which is most convenient for you so I could reserve a room for the rest of the quarter. As for movies we will try to show Seksmisja next week and if not we will start the Decalogue (2 episodes/week). Also, we thought of having a study break hopefully along with OLAS (I will contact them tonight) during 9th week because we need at least 3-4 weeks to get funding for the event. We will try to have Polish food at all the movie screenings instead of going to Polish Restaurants. I had an idea about
working along with maybe 3-4 other organization on some type of art
related project. The Student's Fine Arts Fund at the University of Chicago
has a deadline on Feb 18, March 19 and April 14 for proposals for
creation and presentation of all sorts of visual and performing arts,
that bring the arts to the campus community, that leverage partnership
among student groups, academic departments and/or cultural organizations.
They give out grants up to $1, 500. I thought this would allow us to work
with others, bring different cultures together, and hopefully the Polish
